How to sign up for Japanese language tuition
There are 2 ways to sign up for tuition, by e-mail attachment or online form submission.
You may choose either one, at your convenience.

Method 1: E-mail attachment
1. Download and fill in the Student Application Form from here
2. Attach completed application form to your e-mail and send it to kengho84@gmail.com
3. An e-invoice will be sent to your e-mail address if desired timings are available
4. Secure your tuition dates with payment of tuition fees
5. Tuition commences on stipulated dates

Method 2: Online form submission
1. Fill in the below form by copying in the blue text at the bottom of this page
2. Click on the "Submit" button at the end of the form
3. An e-invoice will be sent to your e-mail address if desired timings are available
4. Secure your tuition dates with payment of tuition fees
5. Tuition commences on stipulated dates

Important details to be copied whole into text box above are as follows.
Please copy entire blue text body between the "COPY FROM HERE ONWARDS" and
"COPY UNTIL HERE" guides as shown below, all the way until the very bottom of this page.

* For students with pre-existing Japanese ability: For a quick assessment your current level of Japanese, you may wish to do the sample exam questions from http://www.jlpt.jp/e/samples/forlearners.html, with N5 being the most elementary. Students new to Japanese may skip this assessment.

Main reason / reasons for taking up tuition:
(E.g. would like to take JLPT N3 this year, better appreciate Japanese films or books, etc.)

Choice of tuition material (delete where necessary):
1. Prefer to use own materials (e.g. already have revision text, a manga interested to learn, etc)
2. Prefer to let tutor decide (Tutor may provide, teach from pool of knowledge, etc)

Tuition type (delete where necessary):
1. 1 to 1 tuition at student's location
2. 1 to 1 tuition at teacher's location
3. 1 to 1 Online tuition

Lesson venue (delete / fill in where necessary):

Lesson frequency (delete / fill in where necessary):
1. Once per week (standard frequency)

*Rates on www.japanesetuition.org applies to choice 1.
Rates for twice per week and other frequencies vary accordingly.

*Standard lessons span 1.5 hours each.

Payment method (delete where necessary):
1. Bank transfer to POSB Savings account: 126-71543-9 (preferred*)
2. Cash (to hand to the tutor at start of first lesson)
*Opting to pay via bank transfer reserves and secures your lesson bookings. This is useful in the event of multiple students requesting for tuition on the same date and time. E.g. Student A and Student B both want tuition on every Monday, 8pm. Both of them submitted the application form at the same time. Student A opts for bank transfer and pre-pays while Student B opts for payment by cash. Tuition slot is reserved for Student A.

Student Terms & Conditions

1. Terms & Conditions are taken as standing upon submission of the Student Application Form.

2. Lesson date is fixed once declared by student*.
This ensures fair fulfilment of all students' schedules.
* On a goodwill basis, the student may be allowed a change of 1 lesson date every 8 lessons, non-accumulative and subject to the availability of the tutor and other students having lessons on
the corresponding dates.

3. Due to translation / interpretation commitments of our tutors, while every effort is made to ensure punctual fulfilment of lesson start time on rare occasions lesson start time may be delayed (for e.g. 7:30pm instead of the agreed 7:00pm). The tutor shall strive to inform the affected student as soon as possible in the event of such impromptu circumstances, and nevertheless be obliged to fulfil the full 1.5 hours of tuition.

In such cases, the affected student may either accept the revised timings or request for a make-up lesson on the next mutually-available date.

4. Japanese tuition & language services shall not be held responsible for any liability so incurred by the student while commuting to / studying in the designated venue or venues.
